Abstract. – After having illustrated the surgical “advantages” of laparoscopic procedures, the authors discuss the negative aspects of this technique on the anaesthesiological management of the patient. Two cases of pneumothorax during Nissen fundoplicatio are illustrated and the deranged parameters, that allow a precocious diagnosis, are extensively analyzed.
