The article “Long non-coding RNA MEG3 represses cholangiocarcinoma by regulating miR-361-5p/TRAF3 axis” by W.-X. Lu published in Eur Rev Med Pharmacol Sci 2019; 23 (17): 7356-7368–DOI: 10.26355/eurrev_201909_18842–PMID: 31539122 has been retracted in accordance with the Publisher and the Editor in Chief.

Following some concerns raised on PubPeer (https://pubpeer.com/publications/1CE3437CE3D1F5CA10D8494E9EFEE2), the Journal has started an investigation to assess the validity of the results as well as possible figure manipulation.

The journal’s investigation identified multiple instances of figure duplication, specifically in panel C of Figure 9, with previously published articles. Additionally, a duplication was also found in the Western Blots of Figure 8 with a previously published article.

The author was contacted and informed of the ongoing investigation, and was requested to provide the original data supporting the manuscript, but remained unresponsive.

As a result, the Journal has decided to retract this article.
